Bio
Sinéad Mckillican is an Irish contemporary artist drawn to minimalism and abstract forms. Prior to receiving a BA in Fine art – Painting (2020) from Limerick School of Art and Design, LIT (TUS) Sinéad spent over 20 years working as an Architectural Technician. A career that honed her technical acuity and eye for compositions, skills central to her creative practice.
Sinéad’s fascination with minimalist abstract art was sparked when she happened upon the captivating works of the pioneering Irish artist Patrick Scott. Sinéad’s intention is to celebrate simple geometric shapes, line, form, surface, materials, and colour. Works emerge from an internal dialogue that unfolds during her exploration of materials. Visuals intuitively fusing the realms of design, sculpture, and architecture. Since graduating Sinéad has exhibited work in several exhibitions including most recently the RHA, Dublin.

In 2020 Sinead was shortlisted for the RDS Visual Art Award. Some of Sinéad’s awards include the Agility Award, 2022 and works purchased by LCGA, Limerick and The Hunt Museum.
